Updating Spring Hill’s Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations will be a key step in implementing many of the policies contained in the recently adopted Spring Hill Rising: 2040 Plan. This process will help us to better preserve and protect the City’s historic development patterns while creating new opportunities for economic development, helping to make Spring Hill a more resilient, livable and business-friendly community.

Together, zoning and subdivision regulations regulate the use of land, the siting and design of new structures, and the division of land. Good zoning and subdivision regulations are, among other things, dependent upon a careful understanding of existing patterns of land use, development, and ownership, as well as an agreement as to how the policies of the Comprehensive Plan are interpreted and applied across the City.

Informed input of interested residents and businesses is needed so that all points of view can be considered as updates are made. We look forward to working with all members of the community during this exciting process!
